Before upgrading Windows 10 in this menu, you would see the Command Prompt (Admin) button, which will open CMD by clicking on it. After opening the Command Prompt environment, type "PowerShell" and hit "Enter" to go to the PowerShell environment with admin access. 5. Open PowerShell via Task Manager Combine the Ctrl + Shift + Esc key to open the Task Manager. Select Run new task from the File menu. Type "PowerShell" and select "Create this task with administrative privileges" and then click OK. 6. Open PowerShell from the start menu Open the Start menu. Open the Windows PowerShell directory. Right-click on Windows PowerShell and click Run as administrator. Note: In Windows 7 and Vista, PowerShell is located under the Accessories menu.
